This was followed by a fellowship in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in Manhattan.

Dr. Purewal has specific expertise and special interest in cosmetic blepharoplasty, eyelid drooping, malposition, growths, skin cancers, tearing, lacrimal disease, and minimally invasive techniques in oculofacial rejuvenation. She performs cosmetic eye plastic surgery including “eye lifts” or blepharoplasty to help patients with puffy, baggy or tired looking eyelids.  She offers a wide range of nonsurgical cosmetic treatments including Ultherapy, Botox, and Dysport, Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) /photofacials and injectable fillers such as Juvederm, Restylane and Boletero.  Dr. Purewal provides skincare services with chemical peels and enhancing skincare products.

Dr. Purewal is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and has authored numerous publications on reconstructive and cosmetic Oculofacial surgery in peer reviewed journals. She is also known for her written chapters in several cosmetic and plastic surgery textbooks.
