Ivan Jacobs, M.D. is a Founder of the Eye Care & Surgery Center in New Jersey. Dr. Jacobs is a Board Certified and Fellowship trained New Jersey Ophthalmologist who specializes in Cataract Surgery as well as the medical, laser and surgical treatment of Glaucoma.

Dr. Jacobs earned his undergraduate degree Phi Beta Kappa from Duke University and his Medical Degree cum laude from Jefferson Medical College. He completed a Residency in Ophthalmology at New York University as well as a Fellowship in Glaucoma at New York University.

Dr. Jacobs holds the academic title of Clinical Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) and has served as President of the New Jersey Academy of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology.

As a well recognized Cataract Surgeon in New Jersey, he is acknowledged as a leader in minimally invasive “small incision, no needle, no stitch, no patch” outpatient cataract surgery in New Jersey using only “eyedrop anesthesia”. In addition he is committed to helping patients with Cataracts in New Jersey become independent of eyeglasses, reading glasses and bifocals through the use of advanced technology near vision presbyopia correcting Lens Implants such as the ReZoom ® Lens Implant, the ReSTOR® Lens Implant and the Crystalens® Lens Implant.

Dr. Jacobs provides advanced technology eye care diagnosis and treatment to his patients. He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.
