A Brow Lift is also called a Forehead Lift. This usually is a cosmetic plastic surgery procedure that can be used to raise your eyebrows to a higher position in order to give a more aesthetic appearance. A Brow Lift can also be used to reduce or eliminate the presence of droopy flaps of skin that hang over the outside corner of your eyes as well as to soften the “scowl” or “frown “ lines that can form across your forehead or between your eyebrows. However, a Brow Lift will not help the presence of baggy eyelids or crow’s feet, which are better treated with Blepharoplasty or wrinkle smoothing treatments depending on the cause of the problem.

Typically a Brow Lift can be performed by a conventional surgerical technique involving an “ear to ear” incision across the top of your head or endoscopically through 4-6 very small incisions behind your hairline. Conventional Brow Lift surgery often leaves the top of your head numb for some time and can raise the position of your hairline, which might be a problem if your hairline was already high. Both of these techniques leave virtually unnoticeable scars behind your hairline. While there are other techniques for Brow Lifts, these two options offer the most predictable and desireable results for most patients.
